Dr. Marcus Metcalf , PT, DPT, Owner

Dr. Marcus Metcalf is the owner of Recover and a physical therapist himself.  He has an extensive background in exercise science and rehabilitative services.  He initially received his Bachelor’s in exercise science at Northeastern State University while obtaining his certification in fitness training.  With a passion to help others with physical injuries and limitations, he went on to pursue a Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Southwest Baptist University.  

Since graduating physical therapy school, Dr. Metcalf has worked in a variety of settings including inpatient therapy, outpatient therapy, and home heath therapy.  Before starting Recover he was a rehab manager for St. John’s Broken Arrow and Owasso Hospital for 5 years.  

With seeing a need to have quick access to physical therapy and the lack of sports recovery specific facilities in the Tulsa area, Dr. Metcalf used his past education, managerial experiences, and an entrepreneur spirit to establish Recover in one of the top sports recovery and rehabilitative clinics in Tulsa.  He has helped grow Recover from a single practitioner 2,700 sq/ft clinic to a 5,700 sq/ft facility with multi-disciplinary staff. 

When not seeing clients, Dr. Metcalf enjoys being outdoors and being active.  Some of his favorite things to do is travel, being at the lake or river, play sand volleyball, golf, workout, and spend time with the family. Dr. Metcalf is married to his amazing wife Holli and has two girls and a great dane.
